How it all began
This photo appeared on the front of the Russell School Newsletter on November 5th 2009 with the caption:

Our School Garden

"Last weekend a group of hardworking volunteers began the task of creating a 'community garden' in the school ground. In our picture we see Whaea Angela and the children from Room 4 planning the next stage - planting!

Look how far we have come thanks to the wonderful support from our community.  We couldn't do it without you!

  1. Walking around and looking at the gardens is one of my favourite places to take visitors to Russell because not only does it make our school look beautiful but if yummy things are growing it always makes for interesting conversations and sometimes yummy recipes are shared!
